Electrum Capital is a private investment firm. We deploy capital across liquid markets with an emphasis on long-horizon compounding and disciplined risk.

Durable returns are the product of patience, temperament, and original research.
The firm was founded on the belief that markets reward those who do their own work and hold their positions with conviction. We do not chase narratives. We study a narrow set of liquid markets, form views we can defend from the primary evidence, and size our positions with a clear sense of the downside.
Our mandate is deliberate. Equities, commodities, and foreign exchange are the three markets we know well enough to invest in on our own terms. Capital we cannot deploy to that standard is returned to investors.

Equities
Long and short positions in global public companies selected through fundamental research, with a bias toward businesses whose economics and management can be described simply and assessed over long horizons.

Commodities
Directional and relative-value exposure across energy, metals, and agriculture. Positioned through analysis of inventories, term structure, and the behavior of the underlying cash markets rather than the narrative of the moment.

Foreign Exchange
Currency positions that express views on rate differentials, fiscal trajectories, and the movement of real capital between jurisdictions. We favor expressions of the view that remain liquid in adverse conditions.

Return of capital is the first consideration. Return on capital follows from it, not the other way around.

We commit to positions we can defend from the primary evidence. Consensus is noted; it is not a reason.
Alignment
Partners invest a meaningful share of personal net worth alongside limited partners in every fund vehicle the firm operates.
Long horizon
The firm is built to compound over decades. Short-term performance is an output of process, not a target.
